Viaterro Privacy Policy

Viaterro is published by Genesis Matrix Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 661 937 971) ("Genesis Matrix", "we", "us"). This policy explains what the Viaterro app does with your information.

The short version

• We don't collect any data. Viaterro has no accounts, and it doesn't send your information to us or to anyone else.
• Your travel ledger stays on your phone. Trips, passports, tax-residency countries, Ghost and Pencil trips, goals and drafts are stored only in a database on your device.
• No tracking. There are no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting tools in the app, and nothing is sold or shared.

1. What stays on your device

Everything you enter is stored on your device and is never transmitted. Some features use on-device permissions, and only when you turn them on: - Photos (optional backfill): the app reads the date and any GPS location already stored in a photo to suggest a past visit. It works out the country offline, on your device. Photos and their contents never leave your phone. - Calendar (optional import): read-only, processed on your device, never uploaded. - Notifications (optional): Schengen and tax-residency limit alerts and Ghost trip reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push service is used.

Viaterro does not use live GPS or background location.

2. Backups and deleting your data

Because your data lives only on your device, we can't see it, restore it or delete it for you. Deleting the app removes it. Your phone's own device backup (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include it, under your control and that provider's terms.

3. Future features

Optional social features may be added in a later version. They'll be opt-in, and we'll update this policy, and tell you in the app, before anything that collects data is switched on.

4. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR), you have rights over your personal data. Since we hold none, there's usually nothing for us to access or delete, but you can ask us about it at any time at privacy@viaterro.com.
